Interview with Darren Clarke


Darren Clarke is a caretaker at Waimairi School.

His job is a property manager/ caretaker. He unlocks and locks the school,empties the class bins,takes the yellow bins to the road,quick repairs,road patrol and maintenance around the school.

Darren's role is being a staff member of the school and a role model for the smaller ones.

His daily routine is different every day. His working hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. He can sometimes come to school early or late.

Teachers and children are looked after by Darren who takes care of the pool and boiler, couches sport, planter boxes and checks if everything is safe.

Everyday Darren doesn't have enough time to do everything because his list never ends. Darren keeps on learning every day and he doesn't take homework home but he worries about the 
school. 

Overall Darren is very busy and helps around the school to make it clean and make people want to stay.
